The device's design ensures a gradual release of oils, promoting even distribution on the scalp without causing excessive greasiness.

The ideal wavelength for red light therapy for stimulating hair growth typically falls within the range of 630 to 670 nanometers (nm). upscalp has a wavelength of 650nm. This number is known to penetrate the scalp effectively and stimulate cellular activity, including promoting hair follicle growth and improving circulation in the scalp. Within this range, wavelengths around 650 nm are often considered particularly effective for hair growth stimulation.

When using the device for the recommended 5 minutes treatment time, a full pod should last for 6-10 uses.

Each device comes with 2 pods; one empty and one with our serum sample. You can refill the empty pod with any oil of your choice.

The LED lights are virtually imperceptible due to their low intensity, ensuring a comfortable experience.

LED light therapy, when used as directed, is considered safe for stimulating hair growth and promoting a healthier scalp. Please make sure you read the user manual before using. It is not waterproof and shall only be used on dry hair. Do not overuse it. It is recommended to use once a day for up to 5 minutes.

Our LED light therapy uses low-level laser therapy (LLLT), which emits specific wavelengths of light that are safe for the skin and hair follicles.

While LED light therapy is considered safe for most people, it may not be suitable for everyone. Individuals with certain medical conditions, such as skin cancer on the scalp or photosensitivity disorders, should avoid using LED light therapy without consulting a healthcare professional.

As with any hair loss treatment, it's essential to consult with a dermatologist or hair specialist before starting LED light therapy if there are underlying medical conditions or concerns about its suitability for individual cases. A professional evaluation can help determine the most appropriate and safe course of action for addressing hair loss or thinning.

Our suggestion is to use the device 2-3 times per week, allocating around 5 minutes. Gently glide over all sections of the scalp 2-3 times during the process.

A fully charged UPSCALP device last for approximately 10-12 treatments based on a 5 minutes treatment time.

Water resistance is not a feature of this device. Please restrict its use to dry hair exclusively. For cleaning the comb, we recommend using antibacterial wipes followed by a dry towel for the best results.
